Bert, I remember your smile and kindness, your love of music and as a child feeling proud to see my Uncle Bert playing trumpet and marching with his band. I remember you sharing out Halloween sweets at Nan King's house that Jacqui and Trevor had collected but couldn't eat. I remember your beautiful handwriting and the letters we exchanged over 45 years. I remember you being a good friend to my dad and remembering him by playing the last post over the telephone after his funeral. I am sad to hear of your passing and will never forget you love Valerie from England. Condolences Pat from all of the family.
