Obituary of Peter Edgar Sheppard

Peter died peacefully on April 21, 2025 at Kington General Hospital.

 

Peter was predeceased by his parents Frank and Iris Sheppard and sister Pat MacAdoo (Bill).

 

A beloved husband to Elaine (the bride).  A wonderful and well loved father to Michelle (George), Cameron and Dwayne.  An adored and adoring grampy to Grace.  A loving and very loved uncle to Ric (Laurie), Cathy, Jay (Cheryl), and Phil.  A special great uncle to Beth (Ian), Chris (Emily), Emma, Gavin, Erica, Evan and Sean.  A great great uncle to Jemma and Pippa.  A caring younger brother to Bill (Mary).

 

Our cousins will miss Peter at our get togethers which are always great fun.  Our special chosen family, Amy, Justin (Mackenzie and Alaya), Patricia, Mitchell  Clyde and Janet will miss him Sundays at the farm.  Our well loved MacLeod family (Joan introduced us) will miss his visits full of laughter and sarcasm.

 

Peter was a proud (old stone) who loved Kingston and served on many boards over the years.

Playing hockey over the years the hockey guys were of course very important to him. Wednesdays at the pub were not to be missed. The stories and fun continued on.

 

Peter's clients were or became friends, and he continued working because he enjoyed helping them.  He will be missed by many.

 

We were very lucky to be able to travel with our children and our granddaughter, many times, and also enjoyed many trips together.  Peter was still planning trips which he loved to do

 

Thank you to the compassionate and caring doctors, residents and the wonderful nurses and other staff of the heart and stroke units.  Thank you also to Dr. Ma (our family doctor) who listened to Peter's concerns.

 

Peter would appreciate donations to The KGH heart and stroke units or The Sick Children"s Hospital in Toronto.  A celebration of Life will be held in the summer.
