I will miss Oz' jokes, his gentle teasing, his laughs, and his easy manner.
He was so easy to visit with. No pretense. Straightforward, honest, and thoughtful. He was always interested in whatever I was saying and it was fun having conversations with him. He had a great sense of humour.
He will be hugely missed. This must be an incredibly difficult time for you, Sue, and Oz' family and friends.
Hugs xoxo

Sybil and I were sorry to learn that Ozzie had died. He was a wonderful colleague in CUSO days. I was fortunate to spend time with Ozzie and Sharon in Botswana. He also visited us in Ottawa and offered sage parenting advice. We were lucky to have known him and send our sympathy to all his surviving family.

I was Oz's oldest grand-nephew. Over the years of my life, I have been to his and Sue's wedding when I was 7 months old in August of 2005, 15 years later, in 2020, he and I had done virtual German lessons on via Zoom and had done that for 4 years until 2024. Since June of 2024, he and I had scheduled phone calls on every Saturday at 10:30 in the morning and he would laugh at my jokes if I made a joke or something. He always found a way to put a smile to my face for all the years I've known him for the past twenty years of my life. May you rest in peace, Oz.
Love you lots.
Signed: Your Zachaboo. (Oz's nickname for me)

I feel blessed to have known Oz who I first met when he got together wth my friend Sue. I remember him as a kind and witty wonderful man who made the best fruit salads.
RIP Oz ❤️ You will be so missed.
