In the late 60's, Audrey was a clinical nursing instructor on one of the medical floors, at Hotel Dieu Hospital, in Kingston. She was a quiet, gentle soul who led by example. Several of our nurses meet regularly and we remembered Audrey, the last time that we were together.
A couple of decades later, I discovered that Audrey, now Mrs. MacDougall, lived behind me in Strathcona Park. Our backyards abutted, and I had many conversations with her. However, it was our cat who endeared himself to Audrey. "Shadow" showed up at her place on a regular basis, and although he did not get along with one of her cats, he was nonetheless welcomed into her home!!
I have many fond memories of Audrey (whom I remember as Miss Ridgley ).
My condolences to all her family.
