We are so sorry to hear of Dona's passing. She was a delightful soul and will be sorely missed by family and friends. We met Dona and Barry when we moved into the building in which they were living and they welcomed us into their social group with open arms and hearts. We have many fond memories of Friday evening socials in the lounge and their apartment and were delighted that they joined us in celebrating our wedding. Dona left an indelible impression and we will always cherish the time we enjoyed together.

Dona was such an amazing person to talk to every day, always asking me how my kids were and how I was doing. As a PSW at Cataraqui Heights, I always looked forward to seeing her through out my days at work. She always had jokes, advice and stories to give. My sincerest condolences go out to her family and friends and everyone she touched along the way <3

Ian and Eric, we were greatly saddened to hear of your mother’s death. As you know, we have many memories of her, going back to our time on the “sabbatical boat” in 1975. We send our sincere condolences to you both. Eleanor and Phillip Rogers

Having moved to Cataraqui Heights just last summer, we soon became friends with Dona and Barry, often sitting with them at the dinner table. We miss Dona, and will always remember that we last shared dinner together on Christmas Day. Dona spoke often of her family, and we express our sincere sympathy to all.

I so looked forward to Tuesdays when Dona and I would board the ferry to play bridge on Amherst Island. Dona was an excellent driver, an excellent bridge player (and cook and knitter and sewer!) and good at everything she did and I respected her. My husband will miss being able to phone her at tax time to get good financial advice. Dona will truly be missed by Terry and me
