Obituary of Andrew James Kish
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew James Kish, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 61.
Andy was a devoted son, father, grandfather, and friend. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Fran Kish.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Kenny, Amanda (Blaine), Nicole, Andrew (Vanessa), and Granson. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Taylor (Chase) and Jordan, who brought him endless pride and joy. Andy was also excitedly awaiting the arrival of his grandson, Carson, expected in June 2026.
Andy was known for his quick wit, flirty charm, and larger-than-life personality. He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke, make someone smile, or strike up a conversation—whether you knew him well or had just met him five minutes earlier. He had a natural way of making people smile and probably laugh a little more than they expected.
A good friend and a great neighbour, Andy was always someone you could count on—for a chat, a laugh, or a story that may or may not have gotten better with every telling.
He was a simple man who found happiness in the little things: good company, shared laughter, and keeping life light whenever he could.
A celebration of life will be held on May 1st from 1pm to 4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560, 734 Montreal Street, Kingston, Ontario.
Andy will be remembered for his laughter, his kindness, and the way he could brighten a room just by being in it. He’s up there still making people laugh—and yes, still flirting.
“We love you, Dad.”
