In her 104th year, Lucille passed peacefully at the Helen Henderson Care Centre, Amherstview on April 17, 2026. Predeceased by her husband Donald Keith and her son Brian Keith, her brothers Rueben and Melvin. Loving mother of her son Donald Wayne and her daughter-in-law Donna Lynn.
Proud grandmother of Lisa Dawn (Mike), Laura Brooke (Martin) and Amy Lynn (Eric). She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Eva, William, Gillian, Lilia, Vincent, Lola, Raymond, Maren and George.
Lucille was born on August 3, 1922 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to her loving parents, the late Rudolf and Katherine Hintz.
Lucille lived on a Saskatchewan farm with her mom and dad and two brothers just outside of Maidstone, Saskatchewan. She met Donald at a dance and they got married in Lloydminster, Alberta on June 28, 1941 at the Grace United Church. They worked a farm until the fall of 1946 when they sold the farm and drove to Kingston, Ontario. She worked at the Dupont Plant and Donald worked as a carpenter. Their first house was a bungalow that Donald and Lucille’s brother built on Princess Street near Portsmouth Avenue. She stayed in Kingston for the rest of her days, moving homes occasionally.
Lucille’s family would like to recognize the wonderful and tender care she received from all the staff at Helen Henderson Care Centre while she was residing in long term care.
