Mervyn, Donald James Franklin

Donnie left us unexpectedly just after Easter, months short of his seventy-first birthday. He is predeceased by his parents George and Edith Mervyn (nee MacPherson), sister Georgina Tanner and niece Cindy Blair. Surviving him are sisters Corinne Lewis, Mae Mervyn and Sheila Scally as well as many nieces and nephews.

Don was a lifelong Kingston boy. He retired after thirty-four years of service at Kingston General Hospital. He loved his family, his friends and his blues music. We will treasure memories of a loyal friend and the best brother ever.

Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at Cataraqui Cemetery on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00 pm. Reverend Barbara Mahood will be officiating. We will meet at the cemetery office at 12:45pm, then drive over to the graveside.
