Cemetery Services in Kingston

Operated by The Cataraqui Cemetery Company, Cataraqui Cemetery has served Kingston families since 1850. Today, we continue that tradition under the operating name Cataraqui Cemetery & Funeral Services, providing cemetery, funeral, cremation, and monument services together in one convenient location in Kingston.

As a not-for-profit organization, our focus is on serving families and preserving the cemetery for future generations. Every decision we make supports the long-term care of the cemetery and the families who rely on it.

As one of Kingston’s historic cemeteries, families sometimes assume that space is no longer available. In fact, Cataraqui Cemetery continues to offer a wide range of burial and cremation placement options in Kingston across several active sections of the cemetery.

Families can choose from traditional burial plots, cremation burial options, columbarium niches, mausoleum crypts, and natural or environmentally conscious burial choices.

Most traditional graves offer long-term flexibility, allowing for one casket burial and up to four cremation interments, or up to five cremations, making it possible for families to plan for shared or multi-generational use of a single grave space.

What makes Cataraqui Cemetery unique is the ability to provide cemetery, funeral, cremation, and monument services together in one location, supported by licensed professionals who guide families through every step of the process.

While recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada and valued for its mature trees, gardens, and natural setting, Cataraqui Cemetery remains an active cemetery serving families in Kingston today.
