Obituary of Muriel Elsie Butts

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Muriel Elsie Butts (Powers) (nee Buzzell), 88, of Kingston, ON. Muriel passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Kingston’s Rideaucrest Home. Muriel was born in Magog, QC on January 22, 1928. She was a loving wife to Russell Powers (deceased), who she had 9 children with during their marriage. Muriel is survived by her children; Agnes (Matthew), Russell (Sharon), Muriel (Lyndon), Lawrence (Patricia), Marion (Jeff), Allen (Joan), Juanita (Brian) and Elaine (Kevin). She is predeceased by her son Cecil. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at the Cataraqui Cemetery (meeting at the Main Office) on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer supporting charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
