Obituary of D. Bruce Lyons

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our dear brother Darrell Bruce Lyons on Nov 21st, 2018. After using up the last of his 9 lives and just after his 65th birthday, Bruce passed away at home. Predeceased by his parents Ruth Callas MacLeod, William H MacLeod and Robert Bruce Lyons (Belleville), brother Billy MacLeod, sister Sandy Way, nephew Billy MacLeod. Bruce is survived by his siblings Barbara, Janet, Laura-Lee, Kevin (Leslie) and Kenny all of Kingston, Danny (Sharalynn) Edmonton, Jerry (Marilyn) of Temegami, Mary of Saskatchewan, Bonnie and Maureen Nova Scotia, and his children Nick Lyons Edmonton, Lacey Lyons (Veronica) and Grace-Anne Lebel (Brandon) of Ottawa and 7 grandchildren who he loved dearly, Carter, Brady, Aaliyah, Cody, Ryan, Beau and Odin. Bruce will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bruce was the Sargent at Arms and proud member of the Legion 9 and 560 for many years. He was very active in the Deaf Dart league community in his role as President and also a player. A special thank you to his sister Janet who cared for him for 15 years through many severe health challenges and to his friend Paul Carnegie who did so much for Bruce. Thank you to Dr Quinlan, the transplant unit and all the nurses and caretakers who helped keep Bruce comfortable at home. Memorial Service is December 8th at 1 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion 560 on 734 Montreal St, Kingston, Ontario with reception to follow.
