Obituary of Helen Irene McEwen

Helen passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on July 15, 2015 at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Shelton McEwen. Loving Mum of Don (Anna), devoted Grandmother to Steve (Cindy) and Christine (Tristan) Barr, Foster son, Scott (Michelle) Alderson, Grandchildren, Rachel, Olivia, Emma and Ella. Helen will be sadly missed by her sisters, Myrtle Rix and Olive Compton, her neices, nephews and family in Prince Edward Island, her dear friend, Margaret Pook, her sister-in-law, Barbara McEwen, and her many friends at Crystal Springs. Helen’s family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital for their dedication and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place, Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Scarborough, Ontario at a later date.
