Obituary of Judith Kerr

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Judi. Judi passed away at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 with her husband Ian by her side. Judi will be deeply missed by her husband Ian, daughters Jodi McBurney and Keri McBurney and her teacup Yorkie, Maggie. Although Judi was a private person, she dearly loved her five siblings, Jon, Derek, Margaret, Joe and Anna. Predeceased by her parents Enid and Jim Houston. While Judi was shy and reserved, she was equally magnetic and endearing, winning over anyone who met her with her warm smile and friendly ways. Her daughters were her pride and joy and she delighted in sharing emails, pictures and conversations with them about anything and everything. Throughout her life and even through her illness, Judi maintained her funny, quirky sense of humour and her sharp wit. An avid crossword enthusiast, she was always searching for more challenges. She was a phenomenal cook and loved to discuss recipes and she always had advice on how to properly do things. We will miss her laugh, her love and her amazing meals. As per Judi’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Judi’s life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Goldie and the care staff at the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario.
