Obituary of Barbara Francis Lemmon

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Barbara Lemmon, in her 100th year on August 6 2022.

She was a loving wife, incredible mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mom was predeceased by her husband, Donald and her son David (Michele).  She is survived by her children, Gail (Dave), Rick (Charlene) and Bob (Denise).  Nanny will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren Chris (Beth), Rick, Cory (Megan), Kirsten (Brent), Jordan, Mackenzie (Kit) and her great-grandchildren Solomon, Ishmael, Phoenix, Lily and Davis.

Mom enjoyed life to its fullest and some might say she was slightly competitive.  She was a member of the Royal Kingston Curling Club for many years where she eventually volunteered to teach blind curlers. She was an avid golfer and was club champion for 3 years at the Glen Lawrence Golf Course.  Later she joined the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club, where she continued to golf and was an accomplished bridge player.  She held a lifetime membership until 2 years ago when her mobility was failing.

She loved all games of cards and even in her final years, a visit entailed a game of cards, which she usually won.

There will be a private family gathering where she will be laid to rest at Cataraqui Cemetery.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
