Obituary of Kathryn Lea Jamieson

On Saturday October 8, 2022 Kathryn passed away peacefully at Extendicare Kingston with her family by her side.  Kathryn had a long struggle with dementia.  Even though it greatly limited her abilities, she never lost her sense of humour and love and compassion for her family and caregivers.  Kathryn was 68 and was taken by this terrible disease too early.  She will be forever missed by her devoted husband Tim Jamieson and her daughter Christine Jamieson (Bob Decker) and son Adam Jamieson (Kathryn) and grandchildren Mya Decker and Wallond Jamieson.  She is survived by her sisters Rebecca Scott and Sharon Burzotta (Toni).  Predeceased by her parents Byrne and Melva Scott.  Lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Pamela Barrett (Scott), Lynda MacMillan (Doug) and brother-in-law Mark Jamieson. 

 

The family would like to thank the incredible staff who cared for Kathryn at Extendicare Kingston.  In particular, the family wishes to express their gratitude for the loving compassionate attention she received daily from Laura, Donelda and Angie.  A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held October 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Cataraqui Cemetery.  A reception will follow at 2:30 at the James Reid Funeral home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. 

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in Kathryn’s memory.
