Shortly afterwards, they moved to Brussels, Belgium, where they had their first child Antonietta “Toni” De Parolis. In August of 1963, they immigrated to Canada and settled in Kingston.
Sal was extremely devoted, hard-working, and loving. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and zealously serving his God Jehovah. When he was not working, he could be found taking care of his garden, and cherished big blue truck.

He is predeceased by his first child Toni (1963- 2012).
