Obituary of Robert Leroy Heron

On Friday March 10^th, 2023 in his 82^th year, Bob passed away peacefully at Providence Care Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy. He will be deeply missed by his children Heather Turner (Albert), Steven Heron (Jennifer) and cherished grandchildren Kody Turner (Erin), Brady Turner (Mackenzie), Owen Heron and Nathan Heron. Survived by his brother Jim Heron (Heather) and sisters Anita Hope (The late Brian), Jan Voigt (The late Pete) and Colleen Bailey (The late Ray). As well as his brother-in-laws Karl Melvin (Terry), Ralph Melvin, and sister-in-law the late Elaine Baker (the late Doug). Bob will be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Bob loved reading, listening to country music, playing the lottery, travelling with his wife, spending time with his kids and 4 grandsons.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and health care staff on Heritage 2 at Providence Care Hospital.

There will be Celebration of Life on March 30^th, 2023 from 4PM – 6PM located at James Reid Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Bob’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
