To Shirley’s Family John and children and brother Malcolm. I just heard of Shirley’s passing at a recent nurses reunion of the SJGH in Saint John. I was Shirley’s big sister when she first came in training.Shirley was a kind and gentle person and loved by many. May you all find peace in the memories she has left with you. I never did meet you John or Shirley’s children but my prayers and thoughts are with you . Dear John and family: Just talked with Jackie Sutton and he told me about Shirley's passing. I remember the mostly good old days with Lands & Forests and you two being married on my birthday and living next door to us. She was always nice to me as you were. Kim and I had the pleasure of meeting Shirley through the Gelbvieh association. I remember Shirley being a kind and generous person. Her beef stew rocked. Our condolences to our friend John and the family.

John & Family, We were so shocked John when you called to tell us your beautiful wife Shirley died. The proper words are hard to express at a time like this. It is unrealistic to expect we will live forever, but we always hope each family member can live longer. The truth is we all have a designated time as challenging as it is for all of us to accept. When a loved one dies suddenly, it is always painful. However, the family members were able to be together & comfort each other which is a positive memory from a tragic event. Bob & I were saddened by the news. We want you to know we are always here should you need us for any reason at all. We know this is a strenuous time & we are here whenever you may need us. What a perfect picture. The picture says it all, a beautiful lady, full of fun and humour, love and devotion. We remember the many dinners and get togethers where she shared her and John's experiences through life and family with the greatest of enjoyment and entertainment. I always would comment when we got home, that Shirley could be the next Erma Bomeck. We will truly miss her. Ed and Maria Bennett
