Carol Elizabeth Doyle, as she always referred to herself, was a proudly independent woman. She re-joined our church, the church she was baptized in, after many years away. She was always at church on Sunday, in the same pew, front row, where no one else wanted to sit. Presbyterians don’t normally like sitting in the front row! Carol always spoke fondly of her relatives, the Gates and her mother Muriel. Though her life was full of challenges, she never complained, instead she remained positive and loving to the end. I missed seeing you in your spot in church yesterday, until a visitor came and sat down right there! Endings bring new beginnings. Carol is at last reunited with her husband Donald, her baby girl Laurie, and all her family. Rest in Peace Carol, and rise in Glory! Your struggles are ended.
