Obituary of Robert Frederick Nevin

1960 December 3^rd – 2024 May 18^th

Born and raised in Kingston, Bob was laid to rest at Cataraqui Cemetery alongside his mother Sheila (Gerdis) and father Bob; not far from his younger sister Joanne.  He leaves behind his oldest son Bobby, younger son Rick (Makayla and his three girls Lacey, Laney, and Lydia), as well as his youngest Jess and her three girls (Jody, Leah, and Harley).  His sweet feline friend Unity is being cuddled by Jess and her girls.  His sister Barb and her family (Charlie, Charleyne, Nevin and his canine buddy Hershey) will forever miss spending time with him; as will his sister Joanne’s daughter Natalie Napier and his loving friend Dorothy.

Ever the ball player, he’s probably already laced up his cleats and is motoring back to home plate after hitting another home run.  Is he wearing the new uniform heaven has been patiently waiting for him to put on or did he brush off his old 560 one that he asked to bring along with him?  Mom and Joanne are probably sitting in the stands cheering him on.

What will he do next, listen to tunes and dance with Mom, compete with Joanne to see who will be the first to yell Bingo, or bowl another perfect 300 with dad watching?  Whatever it is he’ll sure be happy.

Rest in peace Bob – you were a good man, a great father, and a hoot as a brother and uncle.  You will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the good fortune of knowing you.  Play Ball!
