Obituary of Derek Holmes

Passed away with family by his side at Providence Care Hospital on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy and his son, Derwent and his great-granddaughter, Samara. Dear father of Dave (Shelley Grant). Loving grandfather of Whitney (Mason Babcook) and Spencer and “GG” of Ellie Babcook. Derek brought his family to Canada from England in 1971 and took pride in running his painting and decorating business, D&D Holmes, for over 20 years in the Kingston area. A private family interment will be held to celebrate Derek's life. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in memory of Derek may be made to UHKF (Providence Care Hospital).
