Dr Fox was my professor, and led us on a study tour of Israel and Palestine in 1989. I still meet and have close friendships with that group and we all remember Dr Fox with fondness. I regret not seeing him in the years that passed but look forward to seeing him again if our hopes are secure. Lovely man. Great wit. Kind heart. May angels attend your flight.

I had the joy of knowing Doug at Queen’s College, first as a student doing a directed course with him, and then as a lecturer at the College. His love of life, learning and people was obvious and he generously shared these with all around him. Rest in peace, dear soul.

The Anglican Diocese of Central Newfoundland joins me ( John Watton) in sending our live and condolences.
When I was at Queens he was the Dean of Theology and professor of biblical studies . Dr.Fox was an exemplary scholar and mentor, an example of faithfulness and friendship. He never started a lecture without a prayer. He inspired me in many ways, and instilled a love of Greek and Hebrew Scriptures in my heart.
He stayed in touch with me through the years m.
Blessings eternal upon him O Lord.
…Ever Thankful for your mentoring and friendship.
