Obituary of Kathleen Isabelle Brown

At age 97, of Kingston, Ontario, Kathleen passed away on June 15, 2021. Kathleen was born in Ottawa, Ontario on March 21, 1924. Kathleen (nee Dean) was married to Russell Brown on July 17, 1948; Kathleen and Russ were active members of St. Luke's Anglican Church. Kathleen is survived by her daughter Deana L. Abbott (nee Brown), son-in-law Thomas G. Abbott, son Derek A. Brown, grandchildren: Jennifer L. Abbott (Matthew Mulitze), Kathleen K. Abbott (Max Dorville), Scott C. Brown, nieces Sandra Kirpatrick (Hugh Kirpatrick), Linda Rodney (Robert Rodney), and nephew Ken Brown (Sandra Brown). Kathleen is pre-deceased by her husband Russ Brown and son Russell Scott Brown.

Kathleen was a compassionate and caring mom to family and friends and who always made strangers feel like one of the family.

Her family wishes to thank the staff of Helen Henderson Lodge and Trillium Ridge Care Community (Cottage) for their extraordinary care and compassion over the past several years.

The funeral service will consist of a private family gathering at grave side officiated by Reverend Bill Clarke of St. Thomas Church.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
