Obituary of Donna Jean Lovett

After a hard fought battle with cancer Donna passed peacefully at home surrounded by all those she loved.Donna was pre-deceased by her father Reg and in-laws Fran and Bill Lovett.Donna’s memory will be cherished by her mother Jean, her husband of fifty years Jim as well as her children Shawn, Jill, Tracie, Josh and grandchildren Robbie, Nicole, Hailey Leah and Christian.She was supported to the end by all her brothers and sisters, Marie (Larry) Caird, Cathy Wilson, Randy (Maria) Lovelace, Karen Lovelace and Marty (Wendy) Lovelace along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.Jim, Shawn and Tracie would like to thank all the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at the Cancer Centre of Eastern Ontario who worked so hard to give Donna many more days with her family, the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care team at Queen’s Palliative Medicine that made her last months as comfortable as possible.We also have to give special thanks to all the wonderful homecare nurses whose care made it possible for Donna to remain at home. A very special thanks has to go to Wendy of ParaMed, her compassion and friendship made this long ordeal a little bit easier for Donna and Jim.In lieu of flowers the family asks those wishing to honor Donna’s memory to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. As per Donna’s wishes there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
