I was very saddened to read of Dennis' passing. I worked with Dennis at Alcan for a few years before his retirement. The term "leading without title" is used a lot and Dennis lived that way at work. He was truly a leader on the shop floor that was respected by everyone that knew him. The Canadian WWI General Sir Archibald MacDonnell said "Respect, like honour cannot be granted. It must be earned." Through his actions every day and his personality, Dennis earned the respect of all those that were lucky enough to work with him and know him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
