Obituary of David Arthur Snow

After a courageous battle with cancer, David Arthur Snow peacefully left this world for a better place in the early morning of Friday November 26, 2021.A proud Nova Scotian, David was a loving husband to Leslie (née Wills) and was loved and respected by all that knew him. His sharp mind and gentle spirit set him apart as a remarkable man of faith. From his years of work as Operations Manager at the Halifax International Airport to Manager of the Kingston Airport, David left an indelible mark of kindness and generosity in every life he touched – even once buying a beer for Prince Charles when the Prince of Wales was hard up in Halifax. An avid handyman & skilled gardener, David most enjoyed playing hymns and 60’s rock on his Hammond B3 organ.Survived by sisters-in-law Huguette Snow (Comox) & Shirley Snow (Dartmouth). Stepfather to Keegan (Brenda) Coulter, Charlie (Amy) Bellemare, & Harry Bellemare, as well as granddaughters Aly & Grace in Wisconsin and Ozma in Toronto.Nieces and nephews Wendy (Larry) Grant-Rhindress, Kimberley Stewart, Bonnie Joldersma, Judy (Alan) Prosser, Michael (Amy) Snow, Suzanne (Luciano) Casanova, Bill (Kelly) Snow, Trevor Russell, & Ashley (Jessie) Russell. As well as 6 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, 2 great-grand nieces and many cousins.Predeceased by parents Henry and Florence (Nickerson) Snow, sisters Dorothy Stewart, & Nancy (Roy) Russell, and brothers Henry “Hank” & Victor “Joe”.In lieu of flowers, David’s favourite charities are Veterans House (veteranshouse.ca) and The Sock Project (gofund.me/36243500)An outdoor graveside service will be held Wednesday Dec 1st. Meet at 11:15 outside Cararaqui cemetery office. An event celebrating David’s life will be held in 2022. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
