I worked with Shirley for many years at KCVI. She was a highly respected member of the staff and, in many ways, kept the everyday routine of the building running smoothly. She was wonderful to work with and always friendly and positive. I really appreciated her work with the ALS Society and her yearly fund raising activities in on honour of our fellow staff member, Kate McKay. My condolences to you, Jack and the family.

During her years as Office Manager at Kingston Collegiate, Shirley made the Main Office the hub of each day's teaching and learning, for staff and students. She ran that office with exceptional precision, efficiency, patience, and warmth of spirit. It was a privilege to have known her and to have benefitted from her skill in guiding students, staff and administrators with such good humour, compassion, and understanding.

Linda and I express our deepest condolences to Shirley's husband, and my friend and former colleague, Jack, and to Shirley and Jack's family on the passing of Shirley. We got to know Shirley through some social visits and at Alcan social functions, and she was a charming and delightful woman and a wonderful friend and companion to Jack. May all your wonderful memories of your time with Shirley help to heal your feelings of loss. Tom & Linda

Jack and family please accept our deepest condolences in Shirley's passing. We will remember, with the fondest memories, the great meals and laughs we shared around your dinner table and your years of hosting the horseshoe tournaments at the lake. RIP, Shirley.
