Obituary of Marlene Halladay
Marlene Margaret Halladay, nee Pringle, in her 75th year passed away peacefully at her home in Delta, Ontario surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 12th 2017. Marlene was the beloved wife of 57 years to Ralph Halladay. Dear mother of Matthew (Jane) of Alden, Iowa, Mark (Jocelyne) of Kingston, Marilyn Fielding (David) of Brockville, Micah (Liane) of Kingston, Daniel (Anik) of Delta, Steven (Kim) of Phillipsville and Tania MacDiarmid (Jon) of Oakville. Proud Grandma of Amanda, Allysa, Kyle, Jillian, Patricia, Kerith, Jessica, Andrew, Alex, Darian, Devon (Lexi), Courtney, Brooke, Christian and Kara. Loving great-grandmother (GG) to Kayla, Elizabeth, Jason, Caden and Lochlan. Marlene is survived by her sisters Lynn Hartwick, and Monica Marshall and her brothers Pat Marshall and Blake Marshall.A special thank you to Uncle Pat Marshall for taking such exceptional care of his sister in her final days. Our thanks to Ronnie Halladay, Uncle George Halladay and Uncle Arnold Halladay for their constant presence at the house. As well to our family and friends who visited the house to comfort us, sent food to sustain us or called with words of support, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The family would also like to thank Brockville General Hospital 1 East, the Palliative Care team and the staff of the South East Regional Cancer Clinic in Kingston for their amazing care.A Celebration of Marlene’s Life, will be held at the Delta Legion on Sunday, July 16th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.Memorial Donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) - Cancer Clinic located at 55 Rideau St, Suite 4, Kingston, Ontario, K7K 2Z8.
