Obituary of Kerstin Margaret Moore

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, Kerstin Margaret Moore (nee Odemar in Stockholm 1928), has passed on to the happy partying ground. Preceded by her adored husband, Victor Campbell Moore (1918 – 2000), Kerstin was the ultimate diplomatic hostess, displaying grace, elegance, and fashion sense during her 30 years of Foreign Service with Vic. Always entertaining and hospitable, she instilled all around her a sense of worth and value. She regaled everyone with tales of diplomatic life, some humorous, some serious, but always fascinating. After postings to Moscow, Karachi, The Hague, Kingston (Jamaica), and Lusaka, she and Vic retired happily to Kingston, where they enjoyed many years together. Sorely missed by son Yan (Kathryn), daughter Catherine, granddaughter Jessica (Adam) and various nieces and nephews. Memorial donations in Kerstin’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
