Obituary of George Amelio Rosa
Passed away peacefully at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, after a short illness while surrounded by his loving family. Beloved and most devoted husband to Lina of 62 years. Loving father of Ellen Baskin (Brent), Ann Rosa, and Margaret Rosa-Brown (predeceased at age 37). Adored by his grandchildren: Jonathan and Jordan Baldwin and Justine and Avery Brown. George is survived by his sisters Vanda and Nuccia in Italy. He is predeceased by his siblings Mario, Bruno, Orlando, and Maria. He is fondly remembered by his nephews, nieces, family, friends, and neighbours. George was a hardworking pipe welder by trade and was a proud member of the Pipefitters and Plumbers Union Local 401. He also was a long-standing parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church. His strong work ethic spilled into his everyday life, always tending to his garden and up keeping the home inside and out. He had a sharp and curious mind, continuously learning and reading. He had a love of nature, of the dogs in his life, of the oceans and its’ seafood. Alongside his wife, his passion was to cook and spoil his grandkids with their famous ravioli and birthday cake. His greatest accomplishment and legacy he leaves behind is his selfless dedication and prosperity of his family. “La famiglia è tutto!” We would like to graciously thank the entire team of phenomenal health care professionals at KHSC. Wake and funeral arrangements to be determined at a later date. Memorial donations to The Lung Association or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
