Obituary of Betsy Barrett

Passed away peacefully in her 93rd year in the company of her daughter Linda on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at the Helen Henderson Care Centre in Amherstview. Predeceased by her loving husband Harold Barrett and first born child David Harold Barrett, survived affectionately by her sister Ena Barrett (the late Bryan) and extended family in England and Australia. Betsy’s memory will be treasured by her daughters Linda Amey (Randy) and Christine Barrett; dear Grandma of Mark Barrett (Ann), Rachel Dodge (Kevin), Sean Lahey, Justin Amey (Amy); Great-Grandma of Nicholas, Joshua, and Lucas Barrett and Bentley Amey. Betsy was formerly a long time member of Saint Peter’s Anglican Church. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Helen Henderson Care Centre for the care and compassion she received while residing there. A private family gathering will be held, with interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Betsy may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
