If it weren't for Debbie, I probably would not have become a Speech-Language Pathologist, a career path which I greatly enjoy today. Debbie was gracious enough to let me observe her therapy sessions when I was in high school, and that sparked my interest in pursuing the same path. She has also been a wonderful support for my mother, through her dedicated musical leadership in the hand-bell choir at Edith Rankin. My deepest condolences to Debbie's family. May her music stay with you always.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I knew Debbie through Sweet Adelines and had the pleasure of indirectly working with her over the years in her capacity as President of the Greater Kingston Chorus! I really got to know her when we roomed together at an International Education Symposium years ago at Furnham University! Such a kind, caring, giving and talented woman. She will be missed by many!

Debbie was an amazing person to work with . I worked with her probably for 20 plus years in the Ed Services Department of Limeston, former Frontenac Boards. WE shared clients, and alot of laughs and she knew how to do that. Her love of children , I know, is instilled in her children and on in her grandchildren. Family was number one in her life. Special wishes to all of you.

Our deepest sympathies to you, Steve & your Family. Deb was a wonderful influence to so many lives in the time she spent on this earth through her many hobbies & jobs. We had the privilege of knowing Deb in Pacers before I sang with her for several years. Her physical presence will be sorely missed but her memories will always be with us. Rest in peace, Deb.

I was so proud to have Deb as a 'sister in harmony' with the Greater Kingston Chorus. I stood behind her on the risers for a brief time and she always encouraged me to 'sing out'. Our rendition of 'Hallelujah' was one of her favourites. Even when she was unable to stand for long and had to use her chair, she insisted on standing strong and proud for that song! Our times at our monthly breakfasts were always great memories. Her encouragement, strength and faith will always be remembered. Miss her so much!

To Steve and Family, as well as Denise, Doug and David. The Papkes and Wrens shared so many good times together growing up that were an important part of my life. I was lucky enough to reconnect with Deb and Steve later in Kingston. My heartfelt condolences to all of you from me and the rest of the Papke clan.

Deb's life was one well lived. Her contributions to the betterment of the lives of thousands of children, her strength, levity, voice and leadership as well as the legacy of children and grandchildren she leaves are proof indeed. Working with Deb at Perth Road School for many years was a joy and a great learning experience for many of us. With gratitude for her life and presence, I send my deepest condolences to her family.

Deb & I became close while serving on the GKC Board & carpooling to rehearsals. On our drives, we would solve all the world's problems ,& have a lot of laughs . I shall truly miss that chuckle of hers . Deb patiently listened to my recordings, in her role, as my Bass Section Leader. Currently ,I am standing in her place on the risers, & am honoured to do so . She was & always will be an inspiration to me .She will be greatly missed. My love & hugs to all the Lloyd Family !

What a wonderfully-worded announcement, Steve. Deb was a great influence on me and I am proud to call her my friend. On Saturday, Greater Kingston Chorus will be honoured to sing a few songs that Deb loved and sang in both lead and bass.
