Obituary of Susan Persson

Passed away peacefully with her family and close friends by her side at the age of 55 years. Susan is survived by Per-åke, her best friend and husband of 33 years. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Philip (Ottawa) and Erik (Kingston). Predeceased by her parents Bruce (2009) and Marilynn (2019) Jackson. Remembered by sisters Marcia (Jelle) Blom of Ottawa, Catherine (Richard) Clarke of Kingston, and Christine Jackson (Cesar Rego) of Orangeville. Nieces and nephews; Melissa of Ottawa, Katrina (Jesse) Coss of Ramona, California, and Bill Bevens (Barry Richardson). Börje (2016) and Ulla Persson; Jan Olov Persson and son Jos (Judy Valberg). Special thanks to all Susan’s friends, they have been very supportive. After a twenty-four year battle with cancer, (since age 30). Susan is now without pain and worry. Susan was lucky to be able to raise her sons with some cancer scares up to six years ago and then the cancer came back and she fought with drug trials in Toronto and Kingston. It was her greatest happiness to be able to have fun with her sons as they grew up into great people. Special thanks to the staff at Princess Margret and KRCC. Special thanks to Upper Canada Office Systems where she worked since 2001. The family wishes to acknowledge the care and compassion provided by her care team at the Cancer Clinic. At Susan’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service is planned.
