Obituary of Alice Rheta Whittaker

Peacefully at Rideaucrest LTC, Kingston, on Sunday April 26, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved and cherished mother to Bonnie Whittaker-Carr, cherished Nana to her grandsons Brendan and Jordan Carr, and new great grandson Kyrie Carr. Predeceased by parents William and Alice Northmore (nee Metcalfe). Beloved sister to surviving brothers Wayne Northmore (Nancy), Harold Northmore (Anne), Earl Northmore (Carol). Predeceased by brothers Ronald, Robert, Joseph, George, Gordon, Donald, Alan and sisters Evelyn, Virginia, Lorraine. Cherished aunt and cousin to many nieces, nephews, cousins. Retired from Queen's University and DuPont. A local and talented artist. Genealogist to the Northmore family. Due to Covid-19, a graveside service and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Details will be posted online and in the Kingston Whig Standard. In lieu of flowers before or at the Celebration, donations in her name made to the Kingston Humane Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
