Obituary of Ronald James Gourley

GOURLEY, Ronald James P.Eng., B.E.M., C.D.RCAF Navigator & Pilot Officer in WWII, Queen’s University 1949 BSc. in Civil Engineering, Army Officer in the Royal Canadian Engineers, Municipal Engineer for the City of Ottawa and the Regional Municipality of Ottawa–Carleton, C.A.O. of the City of Whitehorse and always ready for a new adventure. A life very well lived.Son of Charles and Queenie Gourley. Brother of Kenneth. Husband of Patricia Thurston and Patricia Tolan. Father of Peter and Step-Father of Theresa and Luke Pettet. Much loved by a large, widely spread family and by his many friends.Very special thanks to his caregivers at Rideaucrest Home and Kingston General Hospital. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and, in May, his ashes will be interred beside his Mother in St. John’s Cemetery in Gananoque.My extraordinary Father, my hero and my best friend.
