Obituary of Darlene Slack

On Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Providence Care, Darlene passed away peacefully in her sleep, with Bear by her side to take her home to Mom, Dad, John and Bob. Darlene met life head on and danced to her own music. She will especially be missed by Gizmo. Special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Providence Care; to the staff of the Cancer Clinic, Palliative Care Unit, Connell 9 and 10, Kidd 9 and Emergency at KGH; both Emergency and Clinics at Hotel Dieu Hospital. A special thank you to St. Vincent de Paul, the Food Bank, Martha’s Table, The Salvation Army, Metro (Barrie St.), The Shoppers Drug Mart (Princess St.) and the Library (the coughing lady). As per Darlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service in Darlene’s memory will be held at a later date. In Darlene’s memory, have a beer with a friend on the patio.
