Obituary of Ursula Fischer

Ursula Fischer, nee Schoenfeldt, affectionately known to family and friends as "Omi" died peacefully in her sleep on Friday the 13th of April in her Kingston home, while with her two daughters.Pre-deceased by husband Walter Fischer. Survived by her son Uwe-Karsten Fischer in Austria, her daughter Christine Haslberger (Fischer) of Kingston, Ontario, and her daughter Sabine Fischer of Cobourg, Ontario. Sadly missed by grandsons Christopher (Gennie) and Torben, and great-grandchildren Eden and Wolfgang.Born in 1919 in Freienwalde/Pommern in Germany, Ursula immigrated to Canada with her family and settled in Kingston in 1977.Ursula loved her family and family celebrations. She was a gracious hostess who delighted in baking, cooking and offering her warm inviting home to family and friends. Countless times she dropped everything and enjoyed company when someone spontaneously came to visit. Her gentle loving presence and generosity of spirit will be sadly missed by all who knew her.Thank you to the PSW`s of Paramed for their kind and caring support.
