Michael was a such a special person.
Peter,my late husband , met him many times at the YMCA. Michael loved sports and was often jogging or running .
Peter was in a cardiac exercise program .
Their friendship continued to the exercise program at 85 Ontario St.,where they had fun teasing one another.
I knew Marty when we were both taking daughters to ballet classes.
We met at various churches over the years and we have continued our friendship
It has been a long journey for Mike, but Marty was always his best supporter in every way.
My sincere condolences to all the family

Mike was my big cousin, 13 years older than me. Growing up we didn’t see as much of his family as I would have liked as they lived at the other end of the country. When I was 6 he moved to Canada. I do remember him visiting England when I was a teenager with his young family and meeting up at a place called Lechlade on the River Thames. I have a photo of us all on my dressing table with our Grandmother looking stern. On another occasion Mike was over and I went with him and Miles to visit our grandmother. On the way back I was in a rush to meet my boyfriend and the boys knew that. They then proceeded to delay our journey as much as possible going round several roundabouts twice. I will remember Mike as being full of fun.

Hi Marty. So very Sorry to read about Mike's passing. Since my Father (Neville Davies) had the same condition as Mike, I understand how difficult it was. Neville lived 14 yrs with his diagnosis. I will always remember Mike's cool sense of style & his amazing leather jacket.
Kindest regards
Drew Davies

There was never a doubt that Michael Jordan was the right man for my sister Marty. Michael fit right into our family and his wit and humour always added to the merriment of family gatherings. Michael was a loving husband, father, friend and he and Marty were always there to help out at their church and community and Sara and Peter have followed in their footsteps. Michael was a great person and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr Jordan was always a good time.
Sara and I grew up as besties and the Jordans took me with them one time to Niagara. We stopped at a restaurant en route and after lunch Mr Jordan went off to use the washroom. When he came back he told us that we were not going to pay the bill, and we’d better hurry up and get going or we’d get caught. We were immediately wound up and ran to the car; our hearts were pounding. I can’t remember how long it was before he admitted that he’d paid the bill before coming back to the table.
I have many fond memories of Mr Jordan. He ALWAYS had a smile.
I am blessed to have known him.

To: Martha, Peter, Sara and all the families, I was very sorry to hear about the passing of my good friend Mike. I have known Mike since his first week in Canada and my second day in Canada, he called me an Irish " Paddy ". We arrived in Canada a week apart and our Birthdays were a week apart. Mike you and Martha have always been great friends, since those early days back in the " Sixties " we all went through a lot of good times together both in Toronto, Kingston and back in the day in Calgary also Vancouver when you came to visit.
This photo was taken at a cottage we went to on Lake Simcoe on July 17th 1969, my sister Jackie was there from Dublin also and she sends her wishes to all the family.
Mike Thank you for being YOU - A GREAT FRIEND - you will be missed my friend. Paul & Suzanne Doran

We are so very sorry for your loss. The last years were an arduous journey for Mike and his family and friends. He was a great guy - always upbeat - who loved his wife and family and his community. I met Mike when Marty and Mike met in Toronto over 50 years ago. He was a handsome young man who stole the heart of my dear friend Marty. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Sincerest condolences - Larry and Theone

Dear Marty, Sara and Peter,
We are so very saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a wonderful neighbour on Westmorland Road and always the life of any party! We loved his cheeky jokes and the time he threw himself across my car as I was coming out of the Y, pretending I had hit him as he was running by! We missed him sorely as he slipped into his Alzheimer’s journey and our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.
