Obituary of Wendy Elizabeth McGlynn (Westbrook)

It is with broken hearts we announce that Wendy McGlynn was called to God on Monday June 12th, 2023.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, Raymond McGlynn and survived by her daughter Kristen (Ian Robertson) McGlynn and granddaughter Hartley McGlynn-Robertson of Kanata.  She was also a loving caregiver of Patricia Tyo for over 30 years.

She is predeceased by her parents Clifford and Dorothy Westbrook and her in-laws, Helen and Doug Parker and Raymond McGlynn of Kingston.


She is survived by her siblings Wayne (Gwen) Westbrook, Jeannie Fairbarns (George Ringer), Carolyn (Ted) Gilbert, Florence (Rudi) Jahnke, Bonnie Henderson, Katherine Pieper and Janis Nabrotzky and in-laws Doug (Susan) Parker, Gail (Mike) Dunn, Karen Cadieux, Celso Silva, Mary (Eric) Kerr and Karleen (Jeff) Scott.

She is predeceased by her siblings David, Percy and Gordy Stoutenburg and in-laws Don Henderson, Oliver Nabrotzky, Ken Cadieux, John McGlynn and Donna Silva.

She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Wendy spent her career caring for patients at the Quinte Thousand Islands Lodge in Kingston where she developed many friendships that lasted through her lifetime.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside ceremony will be held Wednesday June 21st at 11:30am at Cataraqui Cemetery located at 927 Purdy’s Mills Rd., Kingston across from the main office.  Following the ceremony, a Celebration of Life Reception will be held at the Worthington Park Clubhouse located at 103 Worthington Way, Kingston.
