Shelagh, while I knew of you I am afraid that we have never met. I did know Rosemary though and remember Eva as a child. Karma Co-op will be publishing a tribute piece to Katherine in a future newsletter. A couple of us will be working on that piece and we would like to speak to Rosemary, Eva or you to fill us in on her life once she left Toronto. I can be reached at rkbiderman@gmail.com I look forward to hearing from one or more of you.

I am so sorry to learn, as I have just minutes ago, about Katherine's passing. In the 1970's and early 80's I used to refer to Katherine and her ex-husband Doug Holland as Mr. and Mrs. Co-op. Their involvement at Toronto's Karma Food Co-op and what was then known as the Ontario Food Co-op and Clubs was critical to the survival of both those organizations. I spent many long hours with Katherine, and often Doug, in meetings and travelling to meetings, sometimes for hours in order to get there. Katherine was totally committed, very determined, really smart, and enormously competent. Rest in peace dear woman.

My sincere sympathy to Katherine's family. I knew Katherine from our Edgehill days and our friendship continued when she attended The University of Kings College. She was truly a remarkable woman: intelligent, talented, spirited. We spoke recently to organize a "West Coast" reunion, and in hearing her voice I realized she was still very much the person I so admired. The world is a much poorer place in having lost such a unique and beautiful person.

My heartfelt sympathies to Katherine's family. She will be sorely missed. Too soon. I remember Katherine from Edgehill where she was a leading intellectual light and delved wholeheartedly into the team spirit. I also remember her from The University of King's College. I had the recent pleasure to communicate with her more frequently as we planned " an old Girls Reunion " for March, 2016. Her mind was razer sharp as she recalled our days together at Edgehill with surprising detail. A writing collaboration with her was an exciting reality. Her untimely death is a sorrow, a surreal reality. Katherine, may you rest in peace now. Your spirit to be honoured and cherished forever in our thoughts.

We send our deepest sympathy to Eva and her family on the loss of Katherine. Our time together dates from the day our 'girls' became friends in Grade 3. That friendship of Alexa and Eva is still so strong, and it brings with it the pleasure of enjoying Eva's presence in our lives. What I remember best about Katherine from when our 'girls' were small and painted green for their speaking roles in the musical "Witches" in grade 5 is her smile and her devotion to and love for Eva. The certainty of that love is forever. May the memory of Katherine, as was her life, be a blessing.
