Obituary of Katherine Janet Tait

In Ottawa on 24 July 2015 of a stroke in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Thomas Marlay of Kingston. Cherished mother of Eva Holland of Whitehorse. Daughter of the late Robert and Janet Tait. Survived by her husband Thomas Marlay, her daughter Eva Holland, sisters Shelagh Greenaway (Peter) of Kingston and Rosemary Tait (Edward White) of Whitehorse. Born in Yellowknife, NWT, Katherine was a graduate of Edgehill School for Girls in Nova Scotia and the University of Saskatchewan. She worked as an administrator and writer in the non-profit sector in Ottawa for many years until her retirement and then supported Thomas in his law practice. Private interment in Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston. There will be a Celebration of Katherine's Life in Ottawa at the Unitarian Church, 30 Cleary Ave., at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 19. All are welcome. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Enormous gratitude to the ICU team in Ottawa Civic for the highest standard of care.
